Goal: 100% Volunteer Participation in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community

"Hey, you up there! Are you signed up for the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community?"

SSD Ali and Hank need to know. Are you signed up for the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community? These two pups, along with SSD, have set a goal for the Walk: 100% volunteer participation!

SSD has been built around our volunteers. We were founded by a group of volunteers who had a vision of training dogs to assist people with disabilities. What started out as a small group has grown, and now we have dedicated volunteers who raise our puppies, puppy sit, help train our dogs in advanced training, give demonstrations, take care of the puppies when they’re born, help out in the office, help at our events, hug puppies, and more!

We love our volunteers, and we could not have placed over 210 service dogs without them.

Now it’s time for the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community, one of our largest fundraisers of the year. One of our goals is to have 100% volunteer participation in the Highmark Walk.

How can you participate? Sign up to walk in the Walk on May 18 and raise money. Or if you can’t make it to the Walk itself, be a virtual walker and make a donation or raise money.

Every penny raised for SSD goes toward training Hank, Ali, and the other dogs in our program. Hank and Ali think that’s an awesome thing!

Will you support these two pups and the rest of SSD in the Highmark Walk?
